Winter in Greece is cold, damp, and often particularly hard on rescued animals.
At the Dr. Dolittle Sanctuary in Messinia, we’re currently caring for about 20 dogs and cats, including older animals and those with health issues.

Our buildings are heated exclusively with wood-burning stoves in the winter—they are the only reliable source of heat for both the animals and the people on site.
For the coming winter months, we need:
🔸 10 truckloads of firewood
🔸 Total cost: approx. 900 €

With this amount, we can reliably keep the stoves running through the critical period and provide our animals with a warm, safe haven.
Every contribution helps:
a small amount = one warm evening
a larger amount = several days of warmth
together = a winter without freezing

Donations will be used exclusively for firewood.
