Our four-legged sports star

Dexter is a wonderful dog—social, gets along well with other dogs, and is a true sweetheart on four legs. With people who give him time and understanding, he quickly shows just how much he has to offer.

As a typical hunting dog, Dexter is incredibly affectionate and cuddly. At the same time, he follows his nose with great passion: on walks, his nose is almost always to the ground, his ears moving attentively. Once he picks up a scent, he wants to follow it—just like a Pointer, who could sniff out a treat from 100 meters away.
Dexter was found on the streets of Bigastro.

He gets along perfectly with other dogs but isn’t suited for a home with cats or other small animals. He’s already used to walking on a leash, but as a hunting-motivated dog, he naturally has plenty of energy and a keen sense of smell. He’d make a perfect mantrailer or tracking dog.

Dexter wants more than just leisurely walks—he wants to explore, discover, and work. His great passion is scent work: mantrailing, jogging, or canicross would be right up his alley! A life spent solely on the couch isn’t for him—he’s looking for people who are eager to share adventures with him.

Please note that our animals are only placed with a protection agreement. You can find all information about the adoption fee, our organization, and the adoption process on our website. The adoption fee does not include transportation costs, Swiss VAT, or customs clearance fees. All our dogs and cats are spayed or neutered before they travel, provided they are old enough for the procedure.
