Rex—the wonderful German Shepherd mix who looks forward to every visitor

Since Christmas, he’d been wandering the streets of Redován all by himself. No one was looking for him. No one missed him. Until the police were able to rescue him—and we finally got to meet him.

Today, Rex is in a kennel, together with his girlfriend Berta. And yet he’s still waiting… waiting for his human to finally come.

When we took him to the dog park, he showed us his true self: an incredibly sweet, calm, and just all-around wonderful dog. Despite all the loud barking around him, he stayed relaxed—just “cool.”

What does Rex love most? You. Closeness. Petting. Just being part of the family.

He’s smart, attentive, and eager to learn so much more. All he’s missing is someone who’ll give him a chance. Someone to walk through life with him, maybe even attend dog training classes, and show him how wonderful a home can be.

We don’t know how he’ll get along with cats yet—and children should be a bit older. But one thing is certain: Rex has so much love to give.

Please don’t look away.

Maybe you’re exactly the person Rex has been waiting for all this time.
Will you give him his happy ending?

Do you also have the understanding and patience needed for a rescue dog? Then we look forward to hearing from you!

Please note that our animals are only placed with a protection contract. You can find all information about the adoption fee, our organization, and the adoption process on our website. The adoption fee does not include transportation costs, Swiss VAT, or customs clearance fees. All our dogs and cats are spayed or neutered before they travel, provided they are old enough for the procedure.
